The Luna Cinema returns to Millennium Square this summer…
Enjoy an amazing outdoor cinema experience with a film screening of the multi-award winning Bohemian Rhapsody!
Bohemian Rhapsody is a movie based on the true story of Queen's journey from the start of the rock band to their now-legendary 1985 performance at the Live Aid concert in Wembley Stadium. The story chronicles lead singer Freddie Mercury's tempestuous journey from an outcast immigrant struggling to find his place in a rejecting society to his becoming a beloved and world-famous artist.

Millennium Square FAQs
For your safety, the venue security team will be running bag searches ahead of entering the arena for all events in Millennium Square. We advise you to plan your travel arrangements in advance and arrive in plenty of time.
This is a picnic style event. Therefore, unless you bought a premium ticket which includes a director's chair, you will need to bring your own chair / blanket to sit on. Alternatively, you can purchase Luna fleece blankets and backrests on-site.
Please note, we arrange the audience with those on blankets, backrests and cushions at the front, with those on chairs further back - just to ensure everyone has a good view. Please don't bring tents, gazebos, parasols or pop-up structures.
Please feel free to bring your own food and drinks, however no glass will be allowed into the concert arena.
In addition, there will be pizza caterers, the Luna Bar with Estrella Damn serving a full selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and a coffee unit.
The Great British Weather
Please note we will go ahead with the screening in the event of bad weather, unless there are exceptional circumstances (where the safety of the audience is at risk of being compromised). We will keep you informed if the event is to be cancelled but please assume it will be going ahead unless you hear otherwise from us.
It is an outdoor event, therefore there is no roof cover. You are advised to dress warmly as, even on a nice day, the temperature will drop in the evening.
In the case of bad weather, you are advised to pack a waterproof as no large umbrellas are allowed, and umbrellas in general may restrict the views of others.
Please note, there are no cash machines within the arena. The nearest is near Carriageworks, however due to long queues in previous years you may want to plan in advance.
The nearest secure parking is available at The Light (accessible via Great George Street) £8.50 between 6pm and 9am.
24 hour, 7 days a week parking is available at Woodhouse Lane car park. Price: £2.20 for 2 hours, £4.40 for 3 hours, £6.50 for 4 hours, £8 for 12 hours.
On-street parking is also available. For further information on parking, please see the Leeds City Centre car parking map
How do I get into the arena?
The main entrance / exit gates to the concert arena are located on Cookridge Street (Gate C) adjacent to Leeds City Museum and on Portland Crescent (Gate A). The latter is closest to the accessible viewing area.
Can I leave the arena if needed?
No. There are no pass outs issued – when you’re in, you’re in.
Millennium Square is fully accessible, with a raised viewing platform, disabled toilets and a Changing Places high dependency unit. Full accessibility information and companion ticket details are available in PDF form or by calling the City Centre Box Office.
