Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update:

 

To manage the impact of Covid-19 in Leeds and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our audiences and all Leeds City Council staff, we must continue to stay at home as much as possible in order to control the virus and save lives.

 

The majority of our events until the end of July have either been cancelled or postponed to a later date. These include the AJ Bell World Triathlon Leeds, the Leeds Food & Drink Festival, 80s Classical, Club Classical Anthems, Raiders Of The Lost Ark In Concert, One Night Under The Stars, Salute to Reggae, Will Young & James Morrison, The Popworld Festival, the Brutus Gold's Love Train and the Leeds Ska & Mod Festival. All other scheduled events are currently being reviewed on a weekly basis and we will keep you informed of any changes and their implications as soon as we can. In the meantime we will continue to develop our online content and look forward to engaging with as many people as possible through our social media channels.  

 

If you have bought tickets to any of our events, a member of our Box Office team will be in touch with you shortly. If you have any queries please contact boxoffice@leeds.gov.uk and allow our team to either respond via email or call you back. If that’s not possible, please call the team on 0113 376 0318 (Mon-Fri between 10am and 5pm). Please be prepared for a short wait as our Box Office team are now working remotely. Voicemail messages will be collected on a regular basis and someone will get back to you at the earliest opportunity. Please be assured that every ticket holder will be contacted either by email, telephone or post. We won’t forget you.

City Beach

City Beach

Bucket and spades at the ready as the City Beach is set to return to Leeds this August! For its sixth year, the urban beach will be taking place on Victoria Gardens outside Leeds Art Gallery bringing the excitement of the seaside right in the heart of the city centre, with a wide range of family friendly activities such as Miama Surf, Waikiki car, Jungle Funhouse, Bamboo Bungees and more.

Event media partner Heart Yorkshire will be playing a wide range of summer hits throughout the days with its very own ‘City Beach Radio’. Plus, every Sunday morning, the ‘Heart Angels’ will join in the fun with various beach games and activities.

Whilst visiting the beach, visitor will also be able to sample a selection of delicious treats and refreshments such as traditional seaside sweets, icy slush and hot food from a beach style BBQ swing grill.

Entry to the site and beach area is completely free with seating and deck chairs provided on a first come, first served basis. Individual admission fees will apply to all rides and attractions. Discounts will also be available for LEEDSCard and Breezecard holders.

Organised by International Funfairs in partnership with Leeds City Council, City Beach will be open daily from 10.30am to 6pm.
