Join us on Friday 17th August for a sensational outdoor screening of the ever-popular classic movie Dirty Dancing. 

'Hoping to enjoy her youth while it lasts, Baby is disappointed when her summer plans deposit her at a sleepy resort in the Catskills with her parents. Her luck turns around, however, when the resort's dance instructor, Johnny enlists Baby as his new partner, and the two fall in love. Baby's father forbids her from seeing Johnny, but she's determined to help him perform the last big dance of the summer.'

Premium tickets include Luna director's chair in prime position within the arena, complimentary drink at the Luna Bar and fast track queuing to the Luna bar.

It is a picnic style event so please bring a picnic chair or blanket to sit on. 

You can bring food & drink with you but please note that glass is not permitted on site. 

Ticket collection

In advance: from Leeds City Centre Box Office at Leeds Town Hall (10-6pm, please note we are not open on Sundays)

On the day: please go directly to the Carriageworks Theatre located on Millennium Square. The box office will be open from 6pm until 9pm.


It promises to be a wonderful evening with gates opening at 7pm. The film will start at approximately 8.30pm.

Please use the main entrance located on Cookridge Street (Gate C) adjacent to Leeds City Museum.     

What to bring

The screening is a picnic style event so please bring a picnic chair or a blanket to sit on, unless you are a Premium ticket holder in which case you will be given a reserved director's chair in a prime position. You can also purchase Luna fleece blankets and backrests on-site.

Food & Drink

Please feel free to bring along picnics. You are allowed to bring alcohol but strictly no glass is permitted in the arena. In addition, there will be a fully-licenced bar, a pizza unit, an ice cream van and a coffee unit on-site.

Help us to keep Millennium Square tidy by using the rubbish bins that will be located throughout the venue.

A check 25 age verification policy will be in operation at all times and photographic identification showing proof of age may be required.

Cash Payments

There are limited card payment facilities so please ensure you bring ample cash. There is an ATM/cash machine outside the Carriageworks box office.

Toilet Facilities

The venue has permanent toilets on-site.


As an outdoor venue, please bear in mind weather conditions can change quickly, so please dress appropriately. Umbrellas may obstruct the view of other audience members so waterproof clothing or disposable ponchos should therefore be considered. Please note large umbrellas are not permitted on-site.

Admission policy

Please check the age certification of the film you booked for. It will be strictly enforced at Ticket Check. ID will be required for those patrons who look under the age of the film certification.

All ticket holders may be asked to produce proof of age on entry and at the bar.

Security staff at the entrance will enforce the conditions of entry including undertaking bag and random personal searches.

Dogs are not permitted except Registered Assistance Dogs.

Items that are not allowed inside the arena include (but are not restricted to); glass, large umbrellas, parasols, tents, gazebos, laser pens, air horns, fireworks, flares, smoke canisters, barbeques, paper lanterns or any lighting with a naked flame.
