The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics

The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics

Featuring some of the most infectious and energetic dance anthems from over the past three decades, this open-air concert is packed with club classics reworked and performed live by a 50-piece symphony orchestra.

The heart of Leeds will once again beat to a different rhythm as the Orchestra of Opera North, legendary Back to Basics DJ Dave Beer and an array of amazing special guest artists and vocalists come together on stage to deliver an epic musical celebration. Join us to show how spectacular and vibrant the city of Leeds is in showcasing two of its much loved and contrasting musical institutions.

Returning to rework the tracks for orchestra, renowned songwriter and producer Steve Anderson has been musical director for Kylie Minogue for over 20 years, and Cliff Masterson has worked as conductor and arranger for artists including Emeli Sandé.

With Special Guests: Robin S, Utah Saints, Alison Limerick, Shades Of Rythm, Saffron, Robert Owens, Rachel Mc Farlane, Sara Garvey, Ralph Lawson, Tristan Da Cunha and James Holroyd.
