Briggate is a city centre pedestrianised street built as a hard-standing paved area which follows the natural topography of the surrounding ground levels and slopes down from North to South.

Changing Places toilets

The nearest Changing Places Toilet can be found in Victoria Gate Shopping Centre, Kirkgate Market and Trinity Shopping Centre.

Changing Places toilets are different to disabled toilets and meet the Changing Places standards. These toilets are for people with multiple disabilities, including learning disabilities, or for the elderly and have:

• more space to allow access for two carers
• equipment such as an adjustable changing bench and a hoist

Leeds Train Station is around a 5-minute walk from Briggate, with regular services connecting Leeds to cities across the UK.

From the station, exit onto City Square, cross towards Boar Lane and follow it straight ahead until you reach Briggate.

Leeds Bus Station is around a 5‑minute walk from Millennium Square. The city centre is well served by frequent bus routes from across the region, with nearby stops close to Briggate.  For detailed information regarding bus travel, please visit the Metro website.
