Tickets & Booking
Is Ice Cube at Christmas free to enter?
Yes. Entry to Ice Cube at Christmas is free and no ticket is required to visit the event site, browse the attractions, enjoy the market stalls or visit the Winter Bars.
Tickets are only required for Ice Skating sessions on the Ice Rink. Festive Funfair rides are individually priced and can be paid for at each attraction.
Can I buy tickets on the day?
Yes, subject to availability. Tickets can be purchased online or in person from the Ice Cube Ticket Office at the Carriageworks Theatre, right up until the start of your skating session. We recommend booking in advance, particularly during weekends and school holidays, as popular sessions can sell out quickly.
Do you offer discounts to Breeze Pass holders?
Yes. Breeze Pass holders receive a £1 discount on admission prices. Please log in with your Breeze Membership account and the discount will be applied in the cart.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes. Please note, student ticket holders will need to bring and present their photographic student ID with them on the day to verify their tickets.
How do I book for a group?
Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more.

Ice Skating
Can I bring my own skates?
Yes. You're welcome to bring your own skates. Skate hire is included in every ticket, but you're free to use your own if you prefer.
What are the ice skate sizes available?
Ice skates are available from children's size 8 to adult size 15. For younger children, bob skates are also available. These attach to the child's own shoes or boots and have a double-blade design to provide extra stability for first-time skaters.
Our team will be happy to help you find the right size on arrival.
What is the minimum age to skate?
We welcome skaters of all ages, and there is no minimum age requirement for Ice Skating. For younger children and first-time skaters, a range of skating aids and beginner-friendly equipment is available to help build confidence on the ice.
Penguin Stabilisers can be hired for £3 per session and are ideal for younger children (maximum height with skates on: 1.2m). They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be booked in advance.
For children who are too tall for a Penguin Stabiliser, Snowman skating aids are also available to hire for £3 per session, subject to availability.
We also offer bob skates for younger children. These double-bladed skates attach securely to a child's own shoes or boots, providing extra stability while they find their feet on the ice.
Children under 9 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult, while children aged 9-12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The Ice Rink is covered by a marquee-style roof, which means skating sessions can usually take place in most weather conditions, come rain or shine.
In the event of extreme weather, we may need to close parts of the site or cancel activities at short notice for safety reasons. Any updates will be shared on our website and social media channels, and affected customers will be contacted where applicable.
Covered seating is also available in selected bar areas.
Accessibility
Can wheelchair users access the ice?
Yes. Wheelchair users may access public skating sessions in their own wheelchair and must be accompanied by a responsible companion on the ice.
Are accessible sessions available?
Yes. We offer a dedicated Accessible Skating Session every Thursday at 10.15am. These sessions provide a quieter and more spacious environment for visitors who may benefit from a more relaxed skating experience.
Wheelchair users are also welcome at any public skating session and can access the Ice Rink using their own wheelchair.

Do disabled visitors receive a companion ticket?
Visitors who require a companion can book a free companion ticket by contacting Leeds Ticket Hub on 0113 376 0318 or emailing tickets@leeds.gov.uk before booking.

Opening times vary across the Ice Rink, Funfair, Market Stalls and Winter Bars.

Are lockers available?
Yes. Lockers are available for hire for £2 for a small locker and £3.50 for a large locker.
Do you accept card payments?
Yes. Card payments are preferred across the event site. Cash is also accepted.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome on the event site but are not permitted inside the Ski Bar or the Ice Rink Pavilion, except registered assistance dogs.
Are there any toilets on site?
Yes, the venue has permanent toilet facilities. There are also disabled toilets and a Changing Places Unit which can be accessed by a RADAR key.
