School Sessions

Subsidised ice skating sessions for schools across Leeds.

Introduce pupils to the excitement of ice skating through our First Steps to Skating programme. Delivered by qualified coaches, these sessions provide a fun and supportive environment where children can learn the basics of skating and build confidence on the ice.

Ice skates and safety helmets are provided for all pupils.

Session Information

When Do Sessions Take Place?

Weekdays from Monday 23 November to Friday 18 December. Two 45-minute sessions are available each day:

10.30am to 11.15am
11.30am to 12.15pm

Group Sizes

Each session is limited to a maximum of 35 pupils and this number cannot be exceeded.

Smaller groups of a similar age range may share a session, with a maximum booking of 15 pupils per school.

Session Availability

Skating tuition is limited to two sessions per school and allocations are offered on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.

Any provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of two days and then offered to other schools.

Ticket Prices

£3 per pupil (VAT may apply).

Accompanying teachers skate free of charge.

Before You Book

Transport

Schools should arrange their own transport to and from the rink.

Insurance & Supervision

Schools must arrange appropriate public liability insurance and follow the required supervision ratios for educational visits.

Additional Support

Rink staff provide on-ice supervision and can support pupils with additional needs. Schools should provide relevant information at the time of booking.
