Applications to volunteer at Light Night Leeds 2026

Help us illuminate the city this autumn by volunteering at Light Night Leeds! On Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, Light Night Leeds will take over the city, showcasing spectacular projections, interactive installations, and absorbing street art to 200,000 visitors as part of the UK’s largest light festival. We’re looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, engaging and reliable, to join our team and fulfil a variety of roles:

Visitor Support Volunteer – be the face of Light Night, welcoming our visitors and providing information and directions to artworks across the city.
Visitor Support Team Leader Volunteer – If you’ve previously volunteered at Light Night Leeds, joins us this year to help coordinate volunteers on the night.
Event Support Volunteer – assist in admin preparations to ensure everything is ready ahead of the event.

Digital Content Creator Volunteer – capture visual content of the event to share the experience with our online audience.

By volunteering at Light Night Leeds you’ll be part of a huge and memorable event, you’ll support the local community, gain skills and meet like-minded people.
